When I started this project I didn’t have a vision of where it would take me. During the process of shooting I found the project stirred something within me and it slowly became more personal. There were things I didn’t understand and was brought up thinking I didn’t need to understand them. I was left with following instructions from elders and trying to understand as much as I could from the environments I had to attend
I am attempting to find and expose these public places that appear invisible to outsiders. Places which have played a role in many memories whether positive or negative. Places people avoid going because of some negative connotation or stereotype. I infuse an anonymous memory onto the space in the hope it acts as a two-way mirror to its viewer.
